Startup Unicorn Relied on Largo WMS to Mass-Deploy New Branding Kits

An established unicorn-status startup (hereafter referred to as Unicorn) was undergoing a complete rebranding initiative, requiring a full replacement of uniforms and operational kits worn by its workforce.

1. The Challenge

This rebranding effort was extensive in scale, involving the distribution of over 1 million kits to more than 200 locations across the country. The timeline was aggressive: the company aimed to complete the transition in six months or less. Unicorn faced a critical logistical challenge—how to efficiently manage inventory, track movements, and ensure timely delivery of the new kits, all while maintaining business continuity. A robust and rapid solution for warehouse and distribution management was urgently needed.

2. Our Solution

To meet this challenge, Largo WMS was deployed as the backbone of Unicorn’s warehouse operations for the uniform replacement campaign. Leveraging built-in RFID and barcode integration, Largo WMS enabled real-time tracking, streamlined receiving processes at distribution centers, and efficient movement of inventory throughout Unicorn’s national network.

Key features of the solution included:

  • RFID & Barcode-enabled receiving: Rapid verification and processing of large volumes of inbound kits.

  • Mass transfer operations: Systematized handling of inventory movement between distribution points and final destinations.

  • Sales app integration: Seamless synchronization with Unicorn’s existing sales application for accurate and timely disbursement records.

The solution was designed not only for speed but also for accuracy and scalability—critical factors in a high-volume, time-sensitive project like this.

3. The Outcome

The initial pilot rollout was completed within three months, validating both the speed of deployment and operational effectiveness of Largo WMS. Following the successful pilot, the system was fully implemented across all Unicorn distribution channels in the remaining three months—meeting the tight six-month deadline.

Today, Unicorn continues to rely on Largo WMS for its daily warehouse operations, benefiting from the platform’s stability, real-time visibility, and process automation capabilities.
